Advice for increasing conscientiousness generally involves a set of anal-retentive genuflections: preparing for things in advance, laying your clothes out the night before, proofreading, making lists, doing chores, setting reminders, not letting the dishes “soak.” Your mother would be very pleased to hear you’re doing this.
