As my move to the University of Florida approaches, I have reflected on the many Industrial Heritage sites that I have visted over the years, some of them (namely those to the Quarry Bank Mill) as a study visit with my Topics in Economic History students.
As there will likely be not many more opportunities in the near future, I could not leave without visiting Masson Mills: Richard Arkwright’s water-powered cotton spinning mill built on the banks of the River Derwent in 1783. Here are some pictures.
