Imagine that you’ve been asked by your boss to make a presentation to some potential investors. A lot is at stake. As you stand at the front of the conference room, delivering your prepared remarks, you watch the group closely and try to figure out how well you’re doing. The person directly across the table gives an encouraging smile, but what’s that weird expression on the face of the person to their right?
